Original hall built in 1930 in trust by local benefactors, to provide facilities for the various organisations within the village and for general hire.
Subsequently registered with the Charity Commission the Hall is managed and maintained by a volunteer Management Committee supported by various affiliated organisations.
In the ensuing years the Hall has been extended and modernised to provide the following facilities:-
Fully licenced by the local authority for music and dancing.
A drinks licence is not held but may be obtained from the local authority by hirers.
Bookings for the Hall can be made at the Halstead Post Office.

FOR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY BOOKINGS £150 DAMAGE DEPOSIT MUST BE PAID AT THE TIME OF MAKING THE BOOKING
This damage deposit will be deposited in the Bank at the time of booking and returned on completion of the hire, provided that the Hall is left in an acceptable condition.
