Bob and the team welcome you to the Rose and Crown. The Pub is a flint-built grade two listed building in the centre of the village.

This is our 12th consecutive year in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, and we were the 2006 West Kent CAMRA's Pub of the Year runners up.  We stock 5 Real Ales (Larkins and Whitstable as regulars, and the other three changing every few days). We have a wide range of home cooked food available until 7 p.m. daily and offer a 'take-away' menu up to 9.pm.   Bob's Sunday Roasts (available 12 - 3 p.m. Sundays) are legendary - and booking is strongly advised!

Wednesday we have Fresh Fish from Grimsby available cooked in Bob's special Real Ale Batter.

We have a beautiful garden with a large covered seating area (with lighting and heating available) and play 'Bat and Trap' on Summer evenings!

Inside we have over 100 photos on display of 'Old Halstead' that are well worth looking at - you may well spot a face or two that you recognise!

We have a fun Quiz Night and raffle once a month to support local clubs and activities. We play Darts and Pool, and have a real log fire in winter - all in all a proper 'Traditional' English Pub !
