The Halstead Youth Choir (Year 2+) meets twice a month on Wednesday evenings (5.45 p.m. - 6.45 p.m.) to rehearse, and they sing during the Family Service on the first Sunday of each month at St Margaret's Church, Halstead.
The RSCM (Royal School of Church Music) Voice for Life awards system is being followed, which gives the children the opportunity to work on various aspects of singing and musicianship in order to gain graded awards, without placing undue strain or a lot of extra work on them.
The Halstead Youth Choir is led by Clare, an experienced professional music teacher, ably assisted by our organist, Mr. Shilling.
